Past Student thriller analysis
The thriller is kicked of by a very professional looking indent. It has a vibrant blue color and a catchy recognizable tune , which are essential features an ident must have. To make the ident more effective they could have incorporated a unique short animation this makes the ident a lot more memorable to the audience. The use of a knife to open a door makes the thriller exciting right from the start. It is a very unique and creative way of catching the audiences attention right from the start. The editing techniques used are very effictive for example the pov shot with the target frame it adds to the tension of the situation. The sound track used throughout the film is very engaging and sets a very effective atmosphere. They also incorporated use of dietetic sound.
This thriller starts of with a good black and white ident , this is effective because the colors create a very good contrast. It also looks very professional. The sound is very attention grabbing and gives the ident a recognizable look and sound. The animation makes it interesting to watch for the audience. The color and font they used was very professional white is always a good and professional color to use is your sequence it stood out and could be read clearly. The use of dietetic and non dietetic sound is very appropriate , for example the voice over of the man speaking is excellent because the audience can understand what the character is feeling and they feel more engaged to the film and understand more of the story line.
The ident is pretty poor the animation looks very unprofessional , it is very quick and is not unique and would not represent a production company well or make them memorable. I thought the idea was very good. The use of chronology was very effective for example when they showed shorter morning routines with faster music, I liked the way the music changes when the routine was disrupted it showed the change of atmosphere.
